F@*#ing Socks!

Oh my god I hate socks right now.  I have given up on the sock that was top down.  I started working on a toe up sock and had a little bit better luck.  I actually finished it.  It uses short rows for the toe and heel.  I had some trouble with the short rows.  My sock looks a little wonky in places.  Last night at my weekly stitch n bitch I cast on for the second sock.  (3 effing times)  I could not work the short rows.  I know I messed them up on the first sock, but for the life of me I couldn’t do it last night.  I need help!  I have looked at every book I own, on the net, everywhere.  I don’t know if the pattern I am using is full of shit or if it is me.  I have tried this sock so many times I am beginning to lose it.  What is wrong with me.  Oh, and I have lost my house keys.  This is something I never do.  Oh, the cruel goddess of fate.  Why do you mock me?  I’m telling you it’s the socks.  They are after me…
